Since 1981, Shelter Cymru has worked tirelessly to prevent homelessness in Wales. Driven by the belief that everyone has the right to a safe and secure home, we provide support and advice to thousands of people each year who are living in poor housing, facing homelessness or already sleeping rough. Homelessness can happen to any of us, and we are determined to ensure that nobody faces it alone. We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of the artists from all over Wales who have donated their stunning pieces of art, and thank them wholeheartedly for their support.

This year, we wish to pay special tribute to the late Aneurin Jones and Carys Roberts, who were loyal supporters of our auctions. It was an honour to feature their artwork over the years, and their legacies will live on through the beautiful pieces they created. We hope that you enjoy browsing through the catalogue of items, remembering that every pound you spend will be put to excellent use. Diolch o Galon.

ALUN EDWARDS framed watercolour - `Monmouth Countryside - St Brides Nr Newport`, 42 x 51cms (including frame)¦|I have been painting in watercolours for over 30 years. and wish it could have been more. I have had many exhibitions over the years which have proved successful and quite a number of my paintings have ended up all over the world. In the early days of `Welsh Artist of the Year` held at St David`s Hall in Cardiff, I was successful in having my painting accepted for exhibition on three successive years, and have received numerous commissions over the period. The country we live in is beautiful and it`s a pleasure to reproduce it in my own style and am delighted when it is approved by others. It is an honour to be asked by Shelter Cymru for support and I am delighted to do so once again.|

STEVEN HOPKIN-JONES unframed limited edition photograph giclee on art paper - `Fuschia`, 77.5 x 100cms (with mount)¦A piece from the collection of floral portraits entitled `Afterbloom`. Here, domestic blooms take on unrecognisable forms in death - similar in life, they now each take on a unique identity, abstract forms emerging as they wither. ¦We bring flowers into our homes, only to discard them once they have lost their bloom. They are no longer of use to us, we think. It is at this moment, the photographer finds them at their most appealing. He has said of his subjects: |They`ve still got character, perhaps more. They`re almost striving to remain beautiful.| www.stevenhopkinjones.com
