At Rogers Jones & Co, rugby memorabilia has become one of our defining specialisms. Over the last decade we have handled some of the most important collections ever brought to auction, achieving multiple world-record prices and building an international reputation amongst collectors of rugby jerseys, caps, medals, programmes, and sporting artefacts.

Our standing within the market was established through landmark sales including the 1905–06 New Zealand All Blacks jersey worn by Dave Gallaher, sold by us in 2015 for £180,000, at the time a world record for a rugby jersey at auction.

We later broke our own world record with the sale of Sir Gareth Edwards’ famous 1973 Barbarians jersey, worn during the celebrated try against New Zealand, which realised £240,000 and became the highest price ever achieved for rugby memorabilia at auction.

We are known for conducting dedicated rugby memorabilia auctions centred around some of the sport’s most iconic names and moments. These have included auctions for the collections of Sir Gareth Edwards and the JPR Williams, featuring match-worn jerseys from Welsh internationals, British & Irish Lions tours, and historic Barbarians fixtures.
