    PRESENTATION BEECH KNOT LIDDED CASKET, having white metal mounts and lion mask ring handles, inscription reads `Beech Knot Cut off Tree in Coppice Nursery, presented to The Honourable Thomas Lister on his 2nd Birthday by Mr Thomas Chew, Gisburn 29th October 1856`, Thomas Lister (1854 -1925) was later to become the fourth Baron Ribblestone on 25th August 1876 holding the office of Lord in Waiting to Her Majesty Queen Victoria between 1880 and 1885, a further inscription to the reverse reads `Presented by Lord Ribblesdale to Mr Adam Tebay in remembrance of his father Adam Tebay, and of the long association of the family with the Gisburn Estate, July 1921`, 17cms h, 21cms across (the body of the casket showing old worm evidence)
