Gotta Collect ’Em All: Pokémon Treasures Heading to Auction
Dig out the binder. Check the loft. Somewhere, someone may be sitting on a Pokémon collection worth considerably more than they paid for it.
For anyone who grew up trading Pokémon cards, hunting for the rarest pulls or carefully deciding which cards were “far too good to actually play with”, this auction could bring back a few memories.
A fascinating private collection is heading to auction, featuring sealed booster boxes, packs and tins spanning multiple Pokémon eras. Collected over time and, in many cases, kept factory sealed, many of the lots are now estimated to be worth hundreds, and in some cases, thousands of pounds.
The Big Pulls
Among the headline lots are Pokémon XY Evolutions booster boxes, with individual boxes estimated to sell for up to £2,000:
Lot 34
£1,500-2,000

Lot 35
£1,500-2,000

The Sword & Shield era is well represented too, including sealed Brilliant Stars booster boxes estimated at £600–£800, alongside Silver Tempest, Chilling Reign, Darkness Ablaze and Vivid Voltage.
Lot 27
£600-800

Lot 25
£400-600

Then there’s Sun & Moon, with sealed Unbroken Bonds and Celestial Storm booster boxes each estimated at £800–£1,000.
Lot 39
£800-1,000

Lot 43
£800-1,000

And for a hit of nostalgia, one lot brings together around 70 Holo Cards from classic sets including Jungle, Fossil and Wizards of the Coast Gym Heroes, estimated at £200–£300.
Lot 55
£200-300

The ultimate “I knew I should have kept those…”
For anyone who remembers trading cards with friends, hunting for the next addition to a binder or desperately trying to resist opening a fresh booster pack, this auction offers an exciting glimpse at what happens when “I’ll keep that one” turns into a collection years later.
The Pokémon Cards Timed Auction is now available to view online, with bidding starting at 12:00pm BST on Monday 14 September and closing at 8:00pm BST on Sunday 20 September.
Whether you’re a seasoned collector, or simply wondering what your old Pokémon obsession might be worth today, this is one auction worth looking at.
About Timed Auctions
How do timed auctions work? Find out here.
Max Bids
As a bidder, you can enter a max bid – the most you are willing to bid, and the computer does the rest. It will bid intelligently for you, only enough to meet the reserve or stay in the lead. It won’t share your maximum bid with the seller, other bidders, or anyone else for that matter.
End-time extension
If a bid is placed in the final 10 minutes of the auction, the end-time will be extended to protect against ‘sniping’ – the practice of bidders placing bids in the last few seconds preventing other bidders responding. A bid placed in the final 10 minutes extends the lot's end-time by 2 minutes.
Outbid notifications
You’ll see your ‘current bid’ when you log in and view the lot (often it will be less than your ‘maximum bid’). If someone bids higher than your maximum, we will send you an ‘outbid alert’ via email to let you know, so you can decide whether or not to bid more.
