Monthly Review: February 2026
Number of sales: 4
Number of lots sold: 1062
Total hammer price: £281,671
5th February: Jewellery, Coins & Watches
Our first auction in February took place just in time for Valentine’s Day, featuring a beautiful range of jewellery and watches - perfect gifts for a loved one.

10th February: Colwyn Bay Monthly
Colwyn Bay’s monthly sale featured a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, ceramic sculptures and tools – though hopefully they weren’t bought together! The surprise of the day was a set of milk glass ceiling lights, which sold for more than 60 times their top estimate.

17th February: Cardiff Monthly
There were some exciting lots at the Cardiff Monthly Sale. A first edition of George Orwell’s famous allegorical novella Animal Farm sold for £1,350; however, it was a silver carriage clock celebrating Mappin & Webb’s bicentenary that stole the show.

24th February: Chester Monthly
This month's Chester sale was a bibliophile's paradise, with books on fairy tales and military history selling especially well. However, in terms of hammer price, nothing could compare to the first lot of the day: a Jeep Wrangler - perfect for getting through all the mud after such a rainy February!
