The auction formed a swansong for being the final auction at Pullman's House, which has been Byrnes of Chester's auction home for 19 x years.
The next Chester auction will be located at newly designed premises but a five minute drive from Pullman House. Fittingly, our Chester auctioneer Adrian Byrne had been taught art by Philip Clarkson before Adrian decided on a career in fine art auctioneering. Later Mr Clarkson would become one of Adrian's loyal customers at Byrnes and so the relationship was reignited, passion was shared, and as Adrian says, 'I never stopped learning from Philip Clarkson'.

The next Chester auction is at newly designed premises - five minutes from Pullman House. Fittingly, I had been taught art by Philip Clarkson before I decided on a career in fine art auctioneering. Later Philip would become a great loyal customer of mine at Byrnes. So the relationship was reignited after many years, passion was shared once again. I never stopped learning from Philip Clarkson.
