Monthly Review: December 2025
Number of sales: 4
Number of lots sold: 703
Total hammer price: £134,345
As we start a new year at Rogers Jones we look back at the last month of 2025, which featured two charity auctions and the second half of our autumn Welsh sale.
2nd December: The Welsh Sale (Part II)
The second part of our Autumn Welsh Sale featured Welsh furniture, books, memorabilia, ceramics, and Welsh art collection builders. With 94% of lots sold it proved to be a very successful day.

9th December: Colwyn Bay Monthly
The final auction held in Colwyn Bay in 2025 featured a fine collection of retro lighting, antique furniture, models, fine art, and silver.

10th December: City Hospice Charity Auction
Our annual charity auction for City Hospice returned this December, with all proceeds being match-funded by The Hodge Foundation.
City Hospice provides at-home palliative care across Cardiff, along with welfare advice and therapies for patients with life-limiting and terminal illnesses, and bereavement counselling for patients' families. Learn more about the work they do here.

3rd-18th December: Royal Cambrian Academy Fundraising Art Auction
This fundraising auction for the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art marked Rogers Jones’ first timed auction in over two years and featured over 200 paintings, drawings, prints, and sculptures. The sale included works donated or acquired from past and present members, alongside pieces generously given or bequeathed by supporters over the years.
Funds raised will support the Academy’s efforts to recover following its recent threat of closure. Established in 1881, the Royal Cambrian Academy of Art is an independent charity supporting Welsh art and artists, mounting contemporary and historical exhibitions, as well as delivering a programme of education and workshops. Learn more about the RCA here.
