1st April: Interiors including Residual Furnishings from Plas Teg

10th April: ICONIC: The JPR Williams Collection
Consigned by the family of JPR Williams, this auction featured a fabulous collection of match-worn rugby jerseys from his illustrious career, including swapped jerseys from notable players such as Pierre Villepreux, HO de Villiers, and many others. The auction was a 'white glove' sale with 100% of lots finding the homes of collectors across the globe.

13th April: The Welsh Sale
The first Welsh Sale of 2025 took place in Cardiff, featuring works by artists Sir Kyffin Williams, Ernest Zobole, John Elwyn, and Gwilym Prichard. It was another roaring success with 90% of lots finding new homes and sales nudging over £500,000. Sir Kyffin Williams had an especially buoyant day with each of the palette master's six oil paintings realising pre-guides or over.

15th April: Plas Teg Library, Jewellery & Collectables
Our second sale at Colwyn Bay in April featured the Cornelia Bayley library of books from Plas Teg and an unusual pair of Victorian watercolours incorporating real butterfly wings.

24th April: Inaugural General Auction at Byrnes of Chester
April marked the first auction at our new location in Chester, featuring a wide variety of lots including furniture, china, jewellery, and art. Read all about our recent expansion here.

25th April: British & European Fine Art
The first of our biannual British & European Fine Art sales took place in Cardiff, including art by L.S. Lowry, Salvador Dali, and Alan Davie. The British & European Fine Art auction showcases all manner of fine art from old masters to new pretenders.
