TYPED WORLD WAR I DIARY & ITEMS OF 3RD BARON OF SWANSEA ODO VIVIAN (1875 - 1934) the comprehensive diary bound with gilt title to the cover `War Diary 14th Royal Irish Rifles (Y.C.V) 1915-1918`, accounts for Odo`s campaign, from departing Southampton docks on 4.10.15, various billeting in Flanders and possibly other locations, the last entry being in Cugny on 28.2.18; together with a mounted certificate for (the later) Major Honourable O R Vivian MVO, DSO, TD Glamorgan Yeomanry, dated 7th November 1917, signed by Winston Churchill, Secretary of State for War. A November 11th 1918 (Armistice Day) pencil inscribed wireless signal transcript on official brown paper, timed at 10.53 and commanding `....no intercourse of any description with the enemy...` (3 items in this lot)¦Provenance: consigned directly from a member of the Vivian family
