The Welsh Sale is a hugely popular auction of Welsh Art and Welsh porcelain, pottery and selected Welsh items.

The sale has been operating for over 10 years in its current format and has in that time generated some record prices.

We have in depth knowledge and expertise in the foremost Welsh artists, Swansea & Nantgarw porcelain and Llanelly pottery.

We were the valuers of Sir Kyffin Williams’s estate in 2006 and his art work is a prominent feature of every Welsh Sale as is Donald McIntyre, Josef Herman, Graham Sutherland, Gwilym Prichard, C F Tunnicliffe, John Piper and most of the well-known 20th Century Welsh painters.

    A GROUP OF FOUR SWANSEA PORCELAIN CUPS & SAUCERS comprising (1) a teacup with with scroll loop handle and finely decorated in the Empire style with a continuous wreath of green and iron-red leaf scrolls interspersed with blue and pink convolvuli, (2) a teacup with ogee handle, decorated with sprays of flowers, (3) a coffee-cup with tipped ogee handle decorated with sprays and sprigs, and (4) a breakfast cup with saucer and matching stand decorated with pink roses and blue convolvuli set on a background of gilt network¦Condition Report: (4) hairline to cup and saucer restored, others appear to be structurally fine without damage or repair

The artist generously attended the school to offer lessons to pupils in basic painting. His visit was photographed by the staff and each of the seven lots consigned by the school will be accompanied by a small portfolio of the photographs taken during his visit. The highlight of his visit was the presentation of these prints which he brought to the school rolled up in a bundle and which the school subsequently had mounted and framed
