A FINE SWANSEA PORCELAIN CREAM TUREEN, COVER & STAND DECORATED BY DAVID EVANS, circa 1817-1826, the bowl raised and over three gilded claw-feet over a moulded circular platform base, having three lion-head handles and with acorn knop, the cover, body and platform finely painted with colourful floral studies, 17cms high¦Provenance: private collection, Sussex¦Auctioneer`s note: the most `French` of the Swansea tureens being close in design to Paris made examples, a similar version also made by Spode described as a `French cream bowl on three claws`. There is an almost identical example of this rare cream-tureen at the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff
