There was magic in the air as our most successful luxury sale of the year got underway. With an impressive selection of jewellery, coins, luxury bags, watches, teddy bears, and fine whisky, there was no shortage of perfect gifts for the festive season.

The first lot, a rare Harry Potter book, turned out to be the star of the sale, selling for more than three times its top estimate.
