Postage & Packing

In order to keep customers` costs to a minimum, purchased goods can normally be packed in-house and sent via FedEx. We charge for our packing time and the materials. Packing & postage is carried out in chronological order of payment - customers paying promptly will be given priority.

If you require packing only because you have your own courier then our packing service is £10 (assuming that it is a straightforward parcel).

The following are three examples of approximate costs for both postage and packing, for items with a value under £500, to a UK address in June 2010;

  1. Painting (average size, behind glass, non-delicate frame): £30
  2. Royal Doulton Figure: £20
  3. Single Item of Jewellery: £12

Please note that our in-house packer is highly experienced and we are extremely careful BUT we do not take responsibility for items damaged or lost in transit. If you require your items to be fully insured then please contact Mailboxes  www.mbechester.com who offer a fully insured professional antiques and art packing service. We also reccomend Mailboxes for high value items, over £500.

Rogers Jones & Co can organise the shipping of furniture and larger items to UK addresses and overseas through local agents.
