How to Place Commission Bids
Please do not e-mail your bids. Either print, complete and return the commission bidding form found on our buying page or use our easy to use on-line commission bidding system as follows:
From the on-line catalogue at www.rogersjones.co.uk (Image 1), click on the item to enlarge the image (if an image is available).
In some cases, it will access further images of the particular lot .
It will also display a panel for entering a bid with your keyboard:
If you wish to place a bid, enter the maximum amount you wish to bid up to (in multiples of £5 or £10 if under £200 and multiples of £10 for bids over £200)
Now click Place Bid. If you are considering placing more than one bid return to browsing the catalogue (the bids that you have entered will have been saved) and enter further bids for other lots in exactly the same way. You will now be developing a list of unconfirmed bids.
Login / Register
Once you have placed your bids you will be asked to Login or Register (Image 3), please press Register Now if you have not previously registered in order to provide your name, billing address, telephone, e-mail and a password (Image 5). The password is used together with your email address for future login.
Please note: all details are for internal use only and will never be disclosed to any outside party.
If you have used this system before, you only need to Login using your email address and password.
(if you have forgotten your password, click Forgotten Password, enter your email address (Image 6) and click Submit. Your password will be emailed to you immediately).
My Bidding History
As a registered member of this site you can view a historical record of the successful and unsuccessful bids that you have placed with us (My Bidding History) together with the respective hammer prices for those lots.
From My Bidding History you can delete or change your current bids for the forthcoming auction providing you have not confirmed them.
Click the Confirm Bids button when you are ready to go ahead with your commission bid.
Now, check your bids, your contact details, read and agree the terms and conditions of sale (Image 8), and when you are sure that you want to go ahead, click the Submit Bids button.
You will then be presented with a final confirmation of the bids you have made (Image 9).
MyDetails
This page gives you the opportunity to edit your billing details and password (note any password change will be immediate).
Past Catalogues & Hammer Prices
To view hammer price results from previous auctions you must register to the site. Please note that we do not post results to our Home Contents & Collectables auctions.
Subscribe to Sale alerts
Registered users may be prompted to the availability of our catalogues as soon as they are posted to our web site. You can choose to be alerted to one or all of our sales ie. 1. Home Contents & Collectables 2. Antiques & Fine Art 3.The Welsh Sale 4. Jewellery Coins & Watches. An extremely useful tool for auction regulars so that you never miss a sale. We have thousands of registered subscribers to this service.
Unsubscribe from Sale alerts
To cancel the alert that you have registered for. Please note that Rogers Jones & Co cannot unsubscribe clients.
Log off
This logs you off the system, if you are using a public computer, do not forget to log off, as another user could follow you onto this machine and bid on your behalf. We can not take any responsibility if this happens, you will be responsible for the bids placed!
